This week on Entrepreneurs En Vogue, Iman and Jeremey not only learn about what it takes to make the perfect cup of coffee but also what characteristics are needed to be a successful entrepreneur. You have to be “unafraid to be courageous” is the advice our entrepreneur of the day, Elizabeth Cardiello explains to the listeners.  With the successful coffee company Caffe Unimatic and Legacy Out Loud, a global initiative to “inspire, empower and give young women the confidence to think and act entrepreneurially”, Elizabeth Cardiello is just the woman to talk to about entrepreneurship (and all things coffee).

Topics discussed:

Her story: Father and daughter bond over entrepreneurship, which has shaped the woman she has become and inspired her whole life.

Her experience: She always worked with her dad and although she loved her father and his ideas she wanted to come up with her own "thing". Until she found her business, she worked in finance while helping her dad with all his businesses.

Her business: When her father passed away, she went to clean out his office and found wall to wall closet-turned-warehouse of coffee unimatics. Unimatics have been a part of her life growing up.

Her Entrepreneurship definition: “to be creative” “failure is a badge of honor, if you are not failing…you aren’t learning anything” Elizabeth talks about how her father taught her how to embrace failure and be “unafraid to be courageous”. To her Entrepreneurship is "having an idea and being unafraid and be courageous enough to try.... you will fail but that’s progress because if you aren’t failing you aren’t growing.

Her Legacy: teaching young girls everything her dad taught her, especially how to master the mindset of a successful entrepreneur.
